Erika Lazo is a San Francisco native from Salvadorian immigrant parents. Her love for helping others led her to a career in Health Care. She began her writing journey as a way to leave a piece of family history to her two daughters and it became a passion. Now she writes to help empower women navigating motherhood by helping them know they are not alone through her own story telling. She currently works at a not-for-profit hospital in her local community as a health care Interpreter. On her down time, she enjoys creative writing and spending time with her family as well as serving the community as a writing coach to kids in east bay public middle schools through a writing coach program.
